The third edition of the National Indigenous Housing Guide, a practical resource to support the planning and development of Indigenous housing is now available. The Guide is a resource to assist in the design, construction and maintenance of housing for Indigenous people.

The resource is divided into four main parts including safety, health and housing, healthy communities and managing houses for safety and health. The housing requirements of Indigenous Australians living in remote localities are different from other Australians living in the city or in the country. Importantly, the Guide offers expert advice on how to effectively build houses in remote areas.
